We had a blast at the first meeting and we look forward to our next selection. Our new book is:

THE THING AROUND YOUR NECK by Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. It's a book of "twelve dazzling stories that explore the ties that bind men and women, parents and children, Africa and the United States." This reading gathering will be a Nigerian/West African Listening Party held in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia scheduled for Friday, October 2nd, 2009.
